{"id":606,"date":"2022-05-07T09:51:15","date_gmt":"2022-05-07T09:51:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.rickysansom.com\/?post_type=product&#038;p=606"},"modified":"2022-06-09T19:32:11","modified_gmt":"2022-06-09T19:32:11","slug":"15th-ricky-sansom-memorial-graded-badminton-tournament","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/rickysansom.com\/index.php\/product\/15th-ricky-sansom-memorial-graded-badminton-tournament\/","title":{"rendered":"15th Ricky Sansom Memorial Graded Badminton Tournament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CLOSING DATE: Monday 27th June 2022<\/p>\n<p>In 2007 on the 10th anniversary of Ricky\u2019s death we started the Sansom Memorial badminton tournament to honour Ricky\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years we have refined the tournament with the overall goal to give everyone the opportunity to play competitive badminton while having fun whatever their ability.<\/p>\n<p>The day is divided into several mini-tournaments matching players to opponents with similar abilities regardless of age or gender.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament is non-profit and proceeds go back into the south Somerset county badminton network to help create opportunities for all people wanting to play the game.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>CONDITIONS OF ENTRY<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The tournament is open to anyone.<\/li>\n<li>Players will be split into groups, depending on their ability and experience, not age or gender! Prizes\/ trophies will be awarded to winners in each category\/ grade.<\/li>\n<li>Singles and doubles will be played in pools before the knockout stages.<\/li>\n<li>It is hoped to have groups for non-league players, league standard players, and county players if numbers permit.<\/li>\n<li>Anyone not having a partner, should put \u2018Partner Wanted\u2019 on their Entry Form. Doubles pairs can be of mixed gender.<\/li>\n<li>The Tournament will start at 9 am, and it is likely that play will continue until 5.00 pm.<\/li>\n<li>The Entry Fee will be \u00a39 per person for one event or \u00a316 per person if entering both singles and doubles.<\/li>\n<li>Feather Shuttles will be used.<\/li>\n<li>All payments should be made online to South Somerset CBN.
